They are a life-saving fashion accessory!

What Is A Paracord Survival Bracelet?

A Paracord Survival Bracelet is made from paracord. (Learn more about paracord on my What is Paracord Post)

These bracelets are made out of nylon paracord that can withstand 550 pounds of stress and weight.

These bracelets can be very handy in survival or emergency situations.

The cord itself is made up of 7 inner strands which each contain 3 inner strands of their own, which gives you a fair amount of cord to work with.

The cobra knot is the most commonly used knot for these bracelets because it contains a longer continuous length of the cord.

If the need arises you can undo the strands of your paracord survival bracelet. The following are a few examples of how to use your bracelet if the need arises.

  • Make a shelter
  • Use as a fishing line
  • Tie up your gear
  • Make a splint
  • Use as a tourniquet

The possibilities are endless on how to use your paracord survival bracelet.
